Swami Vivekananda Rock Memorial

Built on the rock where Swami Vivekananda attained enlightenment, the memorial was erected in 1970. Goddess Kanyakumari is also believed to have prayed to Lord Shiva on this rock.

Thiruvalluvar Statue

Dedicated to Saint Thiruvalluvar, who composed the ancient Tamil text Thirukural, this 133-feet-tall monument stands adjacent to the Swami Vivekananda Rock Memorial.

One of Mahatma Gandhiji’s ashes was kept in the Gandhi Mandapam before it was immersed. The urn is now placed within the memorial. Every year, on October 2nd, the sun’s rays fall on the urn.

Thanumalayan Temple (Suchindram)

The Sthanumalayan Temple is dedicated to the Trinity of Brahma, Vishnu, and Shiva. It is famous for its beautiful architecture and the 22-foot Hanuman statue, carved from a single granite rock.

Padmanabhapuram Palace

The Padmanabhapuram Palace is Asia’s largest wooden palace, spanning over 6.5 acres. It was built in the 17th century by Maharaja Iravi Varma and later renovated in the 18th century.

Thirupparappu Waterfalls
